Simultaneous exposure through a fiber bundle from the laser to the handpiece is gives maximum flexibility in professional hair removal and in the treatment of vascular lesions. The wavelength of 810 nm is mainly effective in the epilation of light hair, as here melanin absorption is higher making the treatment more efficient. For darker skin types with dark hair, the wavelength of 940 nm provides a more gentle treatment. Besides, the wavelength of 940 nm is more beneficial for the treatment of dilated vessels, as blood absorption is higher than at 810 nm.
